Horse Happenings is a free listing for all equine events in Alaska. The deadline is the 15th of the month preceding publication. We will include the name of the event, date, time, location, phone number and name of a contact person. Call, mail, fax, or e-mail your information to us. This information will also be included here on our web site.

Alaska State Farriers Assoc. meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Heidi Larrabee 746-1966 of Marc Peterson 746-1662

Mat-Su 4-H Horse Council meets the first Tuesday of every month, 7-9:00 p.m. at Palmer CES office, Palmer (907)745-3360 (NOTE: October 2004 Meeting Will be Held at Alaska Livestock Supply on the Palmer/Wasilla Hwy.)

Anchorage Horse Council meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the William Clark Chamberlin Equestrian Center in Anchorage. 522-1552

Interior Horse Council meets the third Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. usually at Old University Park School, Room 154, but from June until Sept. meetings held at the Tanana Valley Fairgrounds, Fairbanks. www.interiorhorsecouncil.org

Driving Me Buggy society will meet every second and fourth Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. during the months of June-August. Maureen McCombs, 376-4391
