Make Your Own Christmas Ornament
Items needed:
Pop or juice can
Paint (to paint metal, I used Krylon)
Sheet foam (or felt) for ears and face
Twine for mane & tail
Yarn or Ribbon for hanger
Black Felt Tip Pen for eyes and nostrils
Tacky Glue or Glue Gun to attach all pieces.
1. Start each end of the can bending in the opposite direction then step on to flatten.
2. Paint can with base coat, whatever color you choose.
3. Cut out ears and face from foam or felt.
4. Draw eyes and nostrils on face, color or paint ears, attach to back of face.
5. Cut one smaller section on twine for forelock, color or paint and glue to back of face. After the glue is dry you can bend it to come over the front of the face.
6. Paint your horse (face & body) with whatever coat pattern you like.
7. Color and attach longer section of twine for the tail.
8. Attach yarn or ribbon for hanger.
One thing to keep in mind when doing crafts is that directions are really just guidelines, variations are what make each project unique. Give your horse his very own personality!
