Alaska is vast with a wide variety of geography and weather.

Anchorage--The largest city in Alaska. Over half of the state's population live in Anchorage and the surrounding communities. Population 254,269, Precipitation: 15.91 inches (per year average). Snowfall: 69.5 inches (per year average). Temperature range: 8.4F 65.2F (average).

Fairbanks--The Golden Heart of Alaska is located in the Interior region with the Chena River running through it like a blue ribbon. Fairbanks has a rich heritage of native culture and gold rush history. In the summer, there are blue skies and 24 hours of sunshine with temperatures that regularly reach the 70's and 80's. Valdez--A small coastal community, Valdez is surrounded by some of the tallest coastal mountains in the world. Valdez is also the northern most ice free port in North America. Population 4,254 Snowfall: 248.9 inches (per year average) Precipitation: 64.04 inches (per year average) Temperature: 15F to 62.3F (average)
